I read recently that polls show that most young adult American "Christians" have very little knowledge of the Bible and that the Bible's teachings do not really have any effect on their lives.  U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry recently said in a speech that most people don't want to live their lives according to a 2,000 year-old text.  Now, not wishing to be presumptuous we can only conjecture, speculate and otherwise guess what he may have been referring to.  I am sad to say that I for one don't believe John Kerry when he says "good morning".  However, I do acknowledge there is a widespread movement at work in our world to undermine the Word of God.  Romans 1:18 refers to "men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness".  

Whatever the world may do, the Word of God will stand because the Lord will cause His Word to stand.  In the hearts, homes and workplaces of men who have been set free by God, the Word of the Lord will live.  Whatever others, even "Christians" who forsake the Bible, may do, in my home the Bible will be honored and made known.  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.  Gentlemen, defend your homes against anything less.
