I love to see my wife and kids when we have been apart. I love to come home and hear about what they have been doing that day. They tell me stories that make me so proud to be their Daddy. Now, I love everybody, but there is nothing like seeing my own kids and watching them play and do the things that we have raised them to do. Philippians 2:15 says that we should become "children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom [we] shine as lights in the world". The Lord also loves to see His children shining in this dark world. He loves to see us looking more and more like our Father every day. As the hour grows later and the sky darkens, the stars become more and more brilliant. "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him" (2 Chronicles 16:9).  As our world grows darker, always remember that the eyes of God Himself are on us. He is looking for a heart on whose behalf to show Himself strong. Shine. "And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." (John 1:5)
