Just an Idea

We've been so busy lately that my wife and I both only began to wonder in the last couple of days what we wanted to do to celebrate the 4th of July.  Our wondering was pre-emptively answered 240 years ago by John Adams, on the Eve of the day when he would sign his name to the Declaration of Independence, an act punishable by death.  He believed that July 4th "will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary Festival.  It ought to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty." Any questions?
