War

A war rages, not an isolated battle, not a conflict or a crisis of principles, but an open war.  Our ruthless adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).  Our enemy does not just want me; he wants my family, my children.  Are your children ready?  Are they trained in the use of the armor?  Do they accurately handle the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)? The Lord, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle, teaches us that "though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.  We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).

Train your children.  Give them a warrior in their own home to see, all day every day.  Defend the boundary around your home.  Watch vigilantly, and strike when the enemy tests.  Strike hard.

"They all were trying to make us afraid, saying, 'Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.'  Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands" (Nehemiah 6:9).
