In You, O Lord, I Put my Trust

Too many “Christians” cannot choose for themselves whom they will serve. By their actions, they maintain that they are able to serve two masters, despite God’s assurance that they cannot (Matthew 6:24). They invoke the name of the Lord like a good luck charm, while they accept the world’s terms of surrender, denying the Word of the Lord they claim to serve. Lot became too friendly with the world and suffered great loss. His wife would not align herself wholeheartedly with God, and so was lost.

The man who builds his whole life upon the Lord and His Word, will never fall, even in death. “For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters they shall not come near him” (Psalm 32:6).
