It is a shame when God's people feel that they need to apologize for, make excuses for, or pervert the meaning of God's Word. Some wolves in sheep's clothing think themselves clever when they pervert God's Word under the guise of "interpretation." The Lord of the universe is not a relic of a bygone time. The Word of the sovereign God has not lost its relevance. The Lord's Word does not need to adapt to changing times. The one God's Word is truth, and as such, does not move. Gentlemen, the Word of the Lord is strong and true and can withstand the questions of a perverse world. His Word is faithful and is ready to be understood by the soul who seeks the truth. His Word is the only power that sustains our lives and the existence of this world, even as His Word is ridiculed and His name profaned by the very ones who live only because of His patience.
Put your faith in God and His Word. Don't be afraid of the times when the world contradicts His Word. Don't even be afraid of the times when His Word appears to contradict itself. Keep reading. Ask Him for understanding and wisdom. Our enemy, the devil, and those who live deceived by Him would love for us to believe that His Word is passing away and is no longer relevant. God's Word has stood and will always stand undefeated, indestructible, and active in every subatomic particle in existence (yes, even where He is not welcome). He is still and will always be "I AM".
