Gentlemen, we have to pray. We have to be men who are always watching and listening to God. We have to be men who tell everything to the Lord. I have been studying Noah pretty heavily lately, and I am convinced that Noah was able to do the things that he did because he was a man who was ready to hear from God and ready to obey. I also love reading about Elijah and Elisha. Their every day was a walk with the Lord.
These men and others like them heard from God because it was their every day life to listen. God wants to guide us through our lives, but are we listening? Pray for your kids. Pray for your work. Pray for what the Lord wants you to do. When you study the Bible, pray for understanding. Pray about the things that get you stressed and down at work.
I'm not proud of this, but I have a hard time with patience among other things. I have to pray for help from God. Do you want the Lord to guard and direct your every step as a father? Ask Him to. Listen for answers. Live your life listening. Enjoy walking with the one God. Rest in the counsel of the Lord who makes the wisdom of our world look like foolishness. The eyes of the Lord move throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.
